The Secret to Closing Your First Client (Spoiler: It’s Not as Hard as You Think)

Before you land that client, here’s the real deal:

You can’t walk in looking like you just rolled out of bed.

You need to feel like a pro, look sharp, and then—boom—close that deal like a pro.

Before you land that client, you gotta be prepared.

Feel confident.

Look the part.

Then, seal the deal like a boss.

And like my coach used to say: “If you look good, feel good, then you play good.”

Look, I get it. You’re nervous.

It’s your first sales call.

You’re not great at talking.

You’re shy.

I’ve been there.

So, what do you do?

Simple—act like a human being.

It’s just a chat between two people.

They’ve got two hands, two eyes, two legs—just like you.

You’ve got nothing to lose.

You’re not some loser—you’re there to help them make money.

Know your worth. Stand your ground.

If it’s your first time (and I’m guessing it is), prepare a script.

It helps. Big time.

Even a little experience boosts your confidence.

Trust me, it’ll save you when you’re panicking halfway through the call.

Start with your greeting, do some small talk, and then hit the big stuff.

Ask about their business:

Who do you help?
How do you help them?
How do you make money?
Where do you find your clients?
How many do you land a month?
What’s the end goal? What’s the biggest challenge?

Remember: You don’t know more about their business than they do.

Even if you do let’s say for some reason or whatever, don’t spit out all your knowledge at once.

It’s just rude.

More tips coming your way in part 2.

Than Stay tuned!
